The Lakehouse is a perfect example of Biophilic Design here in Denver which is the first building with the WELL Certification in Colorado. The Well Certification and the Realwell network integrate evidence-based medical and scientific research with best practices in design and construction to create this healthier space. Below are the seven wellness elements the building incorporates:

Air-livable patios, operable windows throughout each residence, and MERV-13 air filtration

Water- Access to filtered water appliances and hydration stations, UV filtered and low chlorine pool and spa

Nourishment- onsite Urban Farm grows organic vegetables and herbs

Light- floor to ceiling windows, open and shallow floor plans, blackout and solar shades

Fitness- Next to Sloan’s Lake, lap pool and hot tub, fitness center, yoga and meditation studio

Comfort- thermal, visual and acoustical considerations

Mind- Landscaping throughout the building to promote biophila, mediation garden and creative workshop
Partnering with the non-profit Realwell, they have designed an ongoing program to support residents in health and wellness through education, fitness and motivation strategies.
Realwell, founded by the principals of Nava Real Estate Development, also a local Denver company, aims to make real estate healthier. Through partnerships and consulting, they help monetize infrastructure and other wellness practices along with creating programs for residents of these buildings.
